We are looking for a Legal Engineer – Contract Lifecycle Management (Ironclad Specialist) with strong experience implementing Contract Lifecycle Management platforms, specifically Ironclad.
This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing contract lifecycle workflows that support legal, procurement, and business teams. The ideal candidate has hands on experience configuring CLM platforms, building contract workflows, and supporting enterprise legal teams in managing high volumes of contracts efficiently.
You will work closely with legal, procurement, and technology stakeholders to design scalable contracting processes and ensure successful CLM platform adoption.
What Will You Be Doing?
•Lead implementation and configuration of the Ironclad CLM platform including workflows, templates, and integrations.
•Design and implement contract lifecycle workflows covering request intake, drafting, review, approval, execution, and repository management.
•Build and maintain clause libraries, contract templates, and contract playbooks within the CLM system.
•Configure approval routing, contract request forms, and automated contract workflows to streamline contract processes.
•Manage migration of contracts from legacy repositories into the CLM platform while ensuring data accuracy and documentation integrity.
•Collaborate with legal, procurement, and IT stakeholders to design scalable contract management processes.
•Integrate the CLM platform with enterprise systems such as CRM, procurement, and e-signature tools.
•Develop reports and dashboards that provide visibility into contract volume, approval timelines, and contract lifecycle performance.
•Troubleshoot CLM platform issues and support ongoing optimization of contract workflows.
•Support user adoption through documentation, training, and operational playbooks.
Requirements
What Makes You the Perfect Fit?
•6 to 8 years of experience working with legal technology or contract lifecycle management platforms.
•Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience implementing or configuring Ironclad or similar CLM systems such as Icertis Contract Management or DocuSign CLM.
•Hands on experience configuring contract templates, clause libraries, approval workflows, and contract request processes.
•Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management processes across legal and procurement teams.
•Experience migrating contracts from legacy repositories into CLM systems.
•Experience integrating CLM platforms with enterprise systems using APIs or middleware.
•Ability to translate legal and business requirements into system configurations and automated workflows.
•Experience working with enterprise legal operations or contract management teams is preferred.
•Certification in Ironclad implementation or similar CLM platforms is a plus.
